PathMon
Operations

Click on any host and
open a terminal in your browser.

You see a problem in the dashboard. Instead of opening a separate terminal, configuring a VPN, and SSH-ing into the host manually, you click the host and get a terminal. SSH or RDP. No additional ports to expose. Traffic can route through the agent's existing outbound connection.

PatchMon - Browser SSH Terminal

How it works

Everything you need to know, at a glance.

Browser-Based SSH Terminal

A full terminal experience in the browser. In agent-proxied mode, SSH can ride the agent's outbound connection so the SSH service on the host does not need broad network exposure.

  • Agent-proxied mode: no extra inbound firewall rules required on monitored hosts
  • Direct mode also available for hosts with accessible SSH ports
  • Password and private key authentication (with passphrase support)
  • Terminal resizes with your browser window
  • Short-lived credentials for session establishment

Browser-Based RDP

Access Windows desktops through your browser with HTML5 remote desktop. Like SSH, RDP can route through the agent so you are not exposing RDP broadly to the internet.

  • Browser RDP with modern authentication options where supported
  • Agent-proxied: avoid direct internet exposure of RDP
  • Configurable resolution settings
  • Short-lived access handshake for proxied sessions
  • Clipboard sharing between browser and remote desktop

AI Terminal Assistant

An optional AI assistant available within the SSH terminal that can help with command suggestions and error diagnosis. Bring your own API key -- PatchMon supports multiple providers. Useful when you need a quick reminder of a command syntax or want help interpreting error output.

  • Works with common hosted LLM providers when you add your own keys
  • Context-aware suggestions based on your terminal session
  • Per-user rate limits to control cost and abuse
  • Configurable provider and model in server settings
