Monitoring

Find out about problems
before your users do.

A server went offline and nobody noticed for a week. A patch run failed silently. Critical security updates have been pending for 30 days. PatchMon watches for these conditions and routes alerts to the right people through the channels they already use.

PatchMon - Alerts Dashboard

How it works

Everything you need to know, at a glance.

Alert Types and Configuration

Receive alerts for host offline events, host recovery, patch run completions and failures, compliance scan results, and server/agent update notifications. Configure severity levels per alert type and set up auto-assignment rules so alerts go to the right person automatically.

  • Host down detection with regular automated checks
  • Host recovered notifications
  • Patch run completed and failed alerts with package details
  • Compliance scan completion alerts
  • Server and agent update notifications
  • Configurable severity levels per alert type

Notification Channels

Route alerts to the channels your team already uses. Set up routing rules that filter by event type, severity, host group, or specific hosts -- so critical alerts go to Slack, weekly summaries go to email, and everything else goes to ntfy.

  • Slack webhooks
  • Discord webhooks
  • Email via SMTP
  • ntfy push notifications (self-hosted or ntfy.sh)
  • Generic webhooks with optional signed payloads for verification
  • Event routing rules with severity filtering and host group scoping
  • Full delivery log with status, error messages, and attempt counts

Alert Assignment and Resolution

Assign alerts to team members, acknowledge issues, and track resolution from start to finish. Every action is recorded with a timestamp and user ID, giving you a complete history of who handled what and when.

  • Assign and unassign alerts to team members
  • Acknowledge, resolve, and silence actions
  • Full action history per alert with timestamps
  • Bulk operations for managing multiple alerts at once
  • Test notifications to verify destination configuration

Scheduled Reports

Generate reports on a schedule and deliver them to any configured notification destination. Reports include executive summaries, compliance status, recent patch runs, host status, open alerts, outstanding updates, and top security packages.

  • Flexible time scheduling with timezone support
  • Configurable report sections (executive summary, compliance, patches, alerts)
  • Deliver to any notification destination (Slack, email, webhook)
  • Run-now capability for on-demand report generation
